Yet another thing that should be obvious, but I now need to mention.

I do not like getting PSTs about what one of our members is saying in trade chat. Sometimes I follow up and it is no big deal or it was misunderstood, other times I follow up and it should be clear to anyone that it is against our policies. Please save me the headache of having to look into what was said in trade chat,

When you are talking in trade chat it is quite clear what guild you are in. Please do not say anything in trade chat (or any other chat for that matter) which would be against our policies if said in guild chat. Everyone in NP represents the guild - please remember that.

This should be a no-brainer NPers. We represent the guild, and because this is a Christian guild, we also represent Christ. Any bad behavior on our part casts a bad reflection on Jesus. Please review the guild policies. Foul language, dirty jokes, calling people names, using God's name in vain, sexual comments; it's pretty obvious what is right and wrong in our speech.

And as Car said, this applies to general, guild, trade, party, raid, whispers, emotes; any of our communication in WoW or in Mumble.

Our pastor has a saying, "If you wouldn't come up here on the platform and do/say the same thing in the same way up here, then you can't do it anywhere else either!"

Even if no one ever hears you say something wrong, God will know. Jesus Christ set our standard for living. HE is our goal, not our neighbors, friends, family, or even our pastors.

Holy Hills Baptis Church...
Search for "standards". Our associate pastor done a 3 part series on this topic.

I learned long ago just to turn off trade chat and avoid the temptation to frustration.
